New year's eve 2009

I know that I'm a little behind but there are some things that I want to post, but I need to post this first or else I will never do it. On new year's eve we had a party at our house. It was fun. We had our goof friends the Guzmans over with my parents and Jason family. It was lots of fun. We played lots of games and eat lots of good food!! The Guzman's and my parents left before we rang in the new year and I guess we didn't get any pictures before that. But, it still was lots of fun!!

Christmas Morning we started at our house and opened presents. I was really bummed that we never got a family picture in front of the Christmas tree, and also we didn't get any pictures of the living room before the kids came down and we didn't get that many pictures at our house. I was kinda bummed, but next year will be better hopefully we can get some sleep!! and some better pictures!!!

We had our traditional Christmas breakfeast. We had a breakfast casserole, with pull-apart (yummy). It was very good. After break-feast we got ready and headed over to Jason family house. We opened presents and had fun together. The kids are the center of attention over there because they are the only Grand kids. We had lots of fun just being together.

In the afternoon we headed over to my parents where we opened presents and had fun together. I was starting to get tired but I held up really well considering I had no sleep!! The girls got a nice picture that can go in there room. Luke got a picture as well. Jason received a frame of his priesthood line of authority. It was very nice and he liked it a lot. I got this nice picture of Christ that is now in our bathroom!! It looks great!! After present we had dinner. We had ham and potatoes, and rolls, jello, and salad. we had lots of fun being together. The kids like playing with there cousins over at my parents house. There is always something going on and never a quiet moment!! It was very nice just being together and relaxing!!

Then we headed over to my family for dinner. We had homemade Cafe Rio. So good!! It is a tradition that we always have Mexican food on Christmas eve. We also had homemade tamales. That turned out great!! Yummy yummy. We had made them the day before with my mom's and Shirlene's help! They turned out so good!! Then we acted out the Nativity and sang Christmas carols around the piano. Grammy read the Grandkids a story and then we opened one present on Christmas eve. We have a tradition that the kids always get new PJ's on Christmas eve so they look cute on Christmas morning. It was lots of fun!! Lydia was Mary this time, Lacey was the angel, Luke was the shepherd and Joseph was Jesus, my dad was the narrator. The little girls were in love with playing with him. He did so good!!

We had a fun Christmas Eve! We started things out with going with the Peterson's to lunch at this Chinese place and then went back to there house to hang out for a while. We acted out the Nativity story as well. Lacey was Mary, Luke was Joseph, Joseph was baby Jesus, and Lydia was the Angel. Darik and Brady were the wise men, and Kelly was the narrator. It turned out so cute!!
