Last Day with Darik

On Monday we spent the day with Darik and with the rest of Jason family. We had lots of fun playing the train game, Disney seen it, and Ark of the Covenant. The kids had lots of fun playing with there Aunt and uncles. They had so much fun. They already miss Darik so much. Lydia has started praying that Darik will come home safely, when she turns five. I think it is so sweet. Lydia has also started praying for Amanda that she will meet a nice boy. She started saying that in her prayer yesterday in all her prayers all by herself, she came up with that. How precious is that?

Darik and Luke having fun together. Luke likes
it when Darik rough houses with him.

This is Lacey making her scary face. She started
doing this a few days ago, it is so cute.
Here is us at Cafe Rio, man it was good food!

Here are the kids sleeping on the way home because they were so tired from playing. Here is Luke with his Spiderman after he got back in bed. We love you Darik and will miss you lots. The Kids pray for you. Be safe, and come home soon!! Darik is leaving for Afghanistan for a year; he is in the National Guard.

The girls with Sarah

On Saturday the girls got to hold Sarah. They were in heaven, but I think that Lacey enjoyed herself more. This is the first time that the twins saw Sarah, Luke didn't really care, but Lacey loved it. You can tell by her expression that she is really enjoying herself. The girls always try to hold Jonathan, and he doesn't like it very much but now they love to hold Sarah.

Luke's Stitches

Luke got his stitches out on Sunday. Jason did a great job, but it hurt Luke alot. He did great. Lots of crying and tears but we got it done. Here are some pictures of the big event. Jason wrapped it once he took the stitches out, because it was bleeding a little bit and it makes Luke feel better about it having it wrapped.

Luke

Last night when we put Luke down for bed, he was having a really hard time going to sleep. He was crying and crying, and I would go check on him and then he would settle down, but then he would start up again. Finally, one time I went up to check on him he said that his ear hurt, and I knew that he had an ear infection. So I called the after hours clinic and arranged to bring him in. I made it about 9:30 and we were in and out within a 1/2 hour. They said that he had an ear infection. So, I had to go to Rite Aid to get the prescription and we were home by 11. What a week Luke has had. Poor guy. I hope his cold goes away and he will get feeling better. Today he has been great, playing like nothing wrong. He is a great little boy.

Lacey's Progress

Lacey is doing very well with her potty training. She has only had one accident in the last 10 days. So I think that she is doing very well. She went a few days and had lots of accidents, but then she got her big girl bed, and has done great since then!!! I can't believe how much it makes a difference of only one in diapers. It is so nice! I can't believe it. I can't wait till Luke is potty trained but that will not be for a while still. But I will be gratefull for what I have. Since Lacey has gotten her big girl bed, she doesn't take as good of naps as she used to, but she still lays down, and relaxes so that is nice! Go lacey!!! She looks so much bigger now that she doesn't have a diaper on. I love it.

Luke's hand

Here are the pictures from the urgent care. He is doing better, but he babies that hand and won't do anything with it. He is so cute about it. He says that he can't use that hand because he has an owee on it.

Valentine's cookies

This morning at preschool we decorated sugar cookies. The kids had so much fun. Luke picked out the biggest cookie to eat and he eat it all, which surprised me that he eat it all. Lacey enjoyed hers a lot and got it all over her face. We had lots of fun.

My first time to cook a Turkey

This is the first time that I made a turkey. It was really good. I made the turkey, stuffing, rolls and jello. It all turned out really good. It was good, the turkey took a long time to cook, but it was perfect because then jason made it home from work to carve the turkey and to enjoy with Jason family. I was very proud of myself. I think that everyone like it, but there are tons of leftovers!!

When it rains it poors

Tonight was quite the night. I was at my parent’s house this afternoon and then it was time to come home to fix dinner so it would be ready when Jason got off work. So I told the kids on the way home that I needed there help, I was going to hurry in the house and I asked them to come in quickly, they all said that they would. I was in the kitchen, the door to the garage was open then all of the sudden I hear Luke screaming, I running out there and his thumb is stuck in the automatic sliding door. I tried to open the door, but it wouldn't open and I ran inside and got the clicker to open the door, it opened and then the blood started coming fast. I hurry and got a towel and raped it put pressure, then called my dad with one hand. He was on his way to the church with my mom for a meeting, so they were over in a minute, I showed them, and they said that I need to take him in to get stitches, yep it way this huge, deep gash on this thumb at the base, by his palm. So I called Jason at work and asked him weather to take him to the ER or urgent care, he said urgent care, so my dad took Luke and I to the urgent care. Jason meet us there after he got off work. Luke got 7 stitches, and he was such a champ. He was being to tuff, even though it hurt way bad.
My mom had the girls. While I guess my Grandma ended up watching them so she could go to the meeting. While they were there, Lacey got into some of my great Grandmas pills. My grandma felt so bad, she called poison control and they talk to her. She took some pills that make her way tired and very limp, her eyes are constricted and she is now sleeping. They said it could last 20-40 hours. So the twins had quiet the night. I hope that we are done for a while.
We have some pictures on Jason phone of Lukes gash, but I will try to figure out how to transfer them. I will post in the morning of his bandaid. It is pretty cool.

Lacey' Big girl bed!!

Lacey has moved out of a crib and into a toddler bed. She was so excited about it. It is her reward for going on the potty. Luke and Lacey still share a room still, because Lacey can't go into Lydia’s room till we get some bunk beds. I was worried that she wouldn't take a very good nap because she was so excited about it, but she did great!! She went to sleep right away and slept as long as she did in her crib. Here are some pictures of Jason taking down her crib and Lacey in her Toddler bed.

Chair Rail

ON Saturday, Jason put up Chair Rail in our bedroom, and it looks great. It has been the plan since we moved in but he was going to wait till he was not in school. So now was the time. He put it up on Saturday and then this morning we painted it white. It looks great. I can't wait to get up the crown molding!! Here are some pictures of Jason and the kids watching Jason paint. They were enjoying watching.

Weight Loss

I have been gaining weight since the beginning of December with all the holidays, and I haven't done anything about it till now. I have some weight to loss again, so I started doing weight watchers again. I have always been doing it, but I just eat whatever I want. So last Monday I went back to the meetings, and it helped get me motivated again. I went again this morning and I lost 3.2 pounds. I was way happy!! I still have some more to go, but that is a jump start.
