Lydia Birthday

Lydia’s birthday is today. I can’t believe that she is already four years old. We just finished having a birthday party with some of her friends, and she had a blast. She had 4 friends over and we played games and eat lunch, had cupcakes and play. They loved it. We are having another party tonight with our families, so that should be fun as well. We went to the gym this morning and on the way home I was thinking about when she was born. She was only 20 minutes old four years ago, when I was thinking about it. Right after I had her they weighted her and measured her then I got to hold her for maybe one minute or so, then they took her down to the nursery because she was grunting and having hard time breathing. Jason stayed with her and I didn’t get her again till 3 or so, then I got to nurse her then they took her to the NICU and she had an IV in her head, and it was not fun at all having her in the NICU. She was there 6 days. I can’t believe that has been so long. Wow, time fly’s.
This morning when the kids were getting in the bath, Jason was talking to Lydia about how old she is turning today. Jason said “Lydia you are 4 years old today” she said no “I’m not old, you are, I’m young” so she is 4 years young today.

Lacey progress

Well, things haven't been going as well as they had in the past. Lacey had 4 accidents yesterday. 2 wet, 2 that weren't. I don't know why she had so many accidents. I don't know if it was because I was busy doing stuff for Lydia’s party, or what. I'm a little bit frustrated about it. She woke up dry this morning, and then we went to the gym. I was worried how she would do at the daycare. I guess she did great. Lydia said that she took her potty and she went. So I guess that was a good. But then she just had an accident during Lydia party. I'm not sure why. I hope now all the stuff is done with Lydia she will go back to using the potty. She really wants the panties so we will see how she does. I will let you know.

Snow Strom

Playing in the snow
Lydia with the ducks!!

Yesterday it was storming, and Jason wanted to go out in it, so did Luke and Lydia. Lacey and I stayed home and cleaned, how fun. It was so windy and cold. They went down to the river trail and had so much fun!! When they got home they had some hot chocolate to warm them up. They all said that there cheeks were cold, but they had a blast anyways.

Lacey like a pro!!

Lacey is still going strong!! She didn't have any accidents and woke up dry ready to use the potty!! Yeah for my BIG girl Lacey!!

Lacey still going strong!!

I'm happy to report that Lacey had no accidents yesterday(Sunday) and she woke up dry for the second night in a row! Yeah. I'm so proud of her. She is very proud of herself, it is so cute to watch her tell people that she peed. Yesterday she was telling my Grandpa that she is peeing on the potty and so proud of herself, Luke says "ME NOT" he wanted him to know that he is still in a diaper and just fine with that. Have a great day, and i let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Lacey is using the potty!!!

On Friday was the first time that Lacey has peed on the potty, she has sat on the potty but nothing comes out. Well she has started doing it all the time now. She had two accidents yesterday but she is doing great!! She loves wear panties like Lydia, she is getting so big. We were a little worried how she would do through the night, but she didn’t want a diaper back on her, so I put her to bed in her panties, and she was dry this morning and peed first thing this morning. It is great! I hope she keeps it up. She has wanted to wear panties for a while but she has not wanted to sit on the potty but now it looks like she going to. I will keep you posted on how she does. I think that she will do great, because she is even sick and going on the potty. Lacey is not feeling well, but she seems to be doing better today. But yesterday she had a fever and her tummy hurt, probably due to all the candy that she was eating, at the end of the day she didn’t want anymore candy. Which is just fine with me, I hope we are doing this for good. It would be great to only having Luke in diapers, it has been great so far, but he is not ready. Although on Friday was the first day that he sat on the potty, so that is good progress, he will do it when he is ready. Hopefully sooner than later, but whenever he does it will be great!!

Lacey’s big makeup adventures

Lacey has always loved makeup; she always wants to get makeup on, especially my lipstick. She thinks that it is great. Well, on Friday evening we went over to my parent’s house and lacey found so makeup in the spare bathroom. She found black eyeliner and had it all over her nose and her eye. It was pretty funny. Then yesterday we were back at my parents house my mom and I were making hair bows and Lacey and Luke were gone, so I went to find them, well Lacey had found My mom Lipstick that stays on all day long, she had it all over her lips and her chin. I tried to get it off, but it doesn’t come off, it has to wear off, so she had it on all day, and she still has some on today, but it is lots less than yesterday. It is a good thing, because she has to go to church and she would look pretty funny with all that lipstick on. Hopefully I will be able to get it off before church.

Jason's first post

OK, so here is my first attempt at posting on this-here bloggy thingy-majig. Not much has changed since Kristin's last blog. She's still going to school, with only one mid-sized nervous breakdown that she has had to deal with. I'm sure it is only the first of many to come :). The kids have actually done pretty well with Mom's absence. It has been nice that I have a job where I can schedule my work shifts around her school schedule so that we can have at least one of us around for the kids. We are also blessed to have Kristin's and my parents around to help watch the kids once a week while I'm working and she's in school.

My brother Darik is leaving to Afghanistan later this month with his National Guard unit. He will be gone for a little over a year. It kind of stinks, because he was just gone from January to October of last year to Monterey CA for linguistics school. The kids have loved having him around, and I know they will really miss him while he's gone this time around. No one plays with the kids quite as much as Darik does, so he has quickly become a favorite play-mate. We will all miss him and pray that he will be protected while he's gone.
Isn't that a cute pic of Luke sleeping with his Spidey?

First week of Nursing school

I made it through my first week of Nursing school. I have classes on Wednesday and Thursdays all day long, and on Mondays i have lab/clinical. I feel alittle overwhelmed at the moment. I"m trying to study lots, but things are not sticking, so I'm still working on it. Jason has been so good. He is helping out tons. Letting me study working on things to clean the house and take care of the kids. I think(and will) be good for the kids that they can spend more time with there dad and build a better bond with him. Jason is great! There is always so much to do, but i will just do the best i can. Jason will be taking over the post till May. So look for those. I might post sometimes, but it will be him from now on. Aren't you guys lucky!!! I just need to teach him how, now. So i made it, and the kids are still alive, so that is a good thing. Take care Kristin
