Turning of baby Peterson
Today was the day that we went in to get baby Peterson to turn. We got there at 7 am got all check in, they started an IV, and monitor the baby. Jason was working today was able to come over to get me checked in and stay with me till I got settled. The doctor was in on a c- section so Jason went back to work and told me to call when the doctor got there and then he would hurry over. She got there at 9 am. She had the ultrasound out and was checking where the placenta was at, and where the cord was. There was tons of fluid around his face so that was a good thing. (Well there is tons of fluid everywhere!) She just guided him down with her hand, it didn't take long at all and didn't hurt till the very end and not even bad at all. The doctor left after they had him turned and they were going to monitor the baby and make sure he his heart beat was good. He was head down for 10-15 minutes and then went back side ways. Then he moved everywhere constantly. He was up under my ribs and everywhere. They had a hard time keeping the monitors on him because he moves so much. When the nurse came in she said that she had talked to the doctor and that I wasn't 39 weeks till Friday so they couldn't induced me till then, she said Friday or Monday. Jason and I talked about it. At first Jason said Friday that would be great, but then I told him all the things that we had planned for the weekend and then he said Monday would be better than. This Friday we have his cousin wedding reception, I have a pedicure and hair cut scheduled for Friday,(yeah) and On Saturday the most important things is that Amanda (Jason sister) is going through the temple, and she had been so nice and planned it before the baby so that I could go that we wanted to wait till after that. It turns out that Monday is better for the doctor as well, because she has some family plans for Friday night and she is not sure how long it will take for the labor process to get going because there is no head down there right now to help it out. I''m a 2-3 on on one side but then it floats away because there is no head there. I guess I'm having some contractions that I can't feel. So this morning was just a trail run, and now the doctor knows that he will turn and we try again on Monday. Now I have to get all the finally preparations ready for baby Peterson to come home!! A special thanks to my dad for watching the kids all morning. They had a great time! Thanks a bunch!!
